How do you select the products?

We've ordered hundreds of products to try and are constantly receiving new products to taste. From the products we've sampled, we curate the the boxes.  Our goal is to not only provide you with foods and beverages from Black-owned businesses, but also ensure that everything you receive is quality. 

Why does your box cost $125?

Unlike other subscription box companies, we don't ask our vendors for free products in exchange for promotion. The point of Kin Collective is to create an ecosystem of support for Black-owned food & beverage businesses where their talent is recognized and celebrated. We believe that in order to do this, these companies should not have to take a hit on their revenue and should be paid for their products and work.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

At this time we do not offer customization options for dietary restrictions. We still encourage you to order our box, eat or drink what you can and gift the items you cannot consume.

What if I own a Black-owned food or beverage company I'd like you to consider?

We'd love to learn more and try your product! Send us an email at hello<at>kincollectivebox.com and tell us about your product.

How can I gift a box?

Each quarter we set aside a limited number of boxes to be gifted that are not part of our subscription base. Click here to place an order for a gift to someone.

When will I receive my order?

Orders will ship at the end of each quarter between the 15th and end of the month. You will receive a shipping notification once shipped.

What do I do if I received a defective order?

If your box arrives with damaged goods, please contact (hello<at>kincollectivebox.com) us so we can replace any damaged items or send you a new box.

Sustainability

What are you doing to be sustainable?

We do everything in our power to use only sustainable and compostable products for our shipping. Our subscription boxes and compostable as are the cards, paper and tape used in our boxes. Not all the products included in the boxes are packaged sustainably as this can be difficult and costly for some of the small businesses we work with. 

Supporting Black-owned Business

How much do the Black-owned business actually receive and benefit from your box?

We take great pride in being able to support small Black-owned businesses with our subscription box. 80% of the purchase price of your box goes directly to Black-owned businesses.

How do you giveback?

Bi annually we review and evaluate any extra inventory we have and donate those items to a local charity that services homeless or food insecure families in our area.
